Training Overview:
Nutrition misinformation is everywhere, making it increasingly difficult for families to know who or what to trust. In your role, you may be asked about the latest food trends, supplements, or nutrition claims, and it can be challenging to know how best to respond.
This series will give you the confidence to separate fact from fiction using evidence-based guidance. You’ll gain practical knowledge, understand the latest UK public health recommendations, and leave with clear, consistent messages that you can use confidently in conversations with children, young people, and their families
Session Topic: Understand the differences between breastmilk and infant formula, current infant feeding recommendations, and how to create a breastfeeding-friendly environment.
Impact on your Knowledge, Skills and Confidence:
- Recognise common nutrition myths and misconceptions and understand the evidence behind them.
- Understand the rationale underpinning current UK public health nutrition recommendations.
- Confidently challenge nutrition misinformation using evidence-based guidance.
