Personal, Social, Health and Economic education
On the 1st March 2017 the Government laid an amendment to the Children and Social Work Bill which came in to effect in September 2020. The Secretary of State for Education confirms the Government’s ambition to support all young people to stay safe and prepare for life in modern Britain by making Relationships Education (Primary), Relationships and Sex Education (RSE - Secondary) and Health Education statutory in all schools.
The future opportunities and challenges facing today’s learners will demand high academic standards but also resilience, good physical amd mental health and an ability to adapt to a service-based economy that relies on enterprise, inter-personal and communication skills. High quality PSHE provision will provide young people with the necessary knowledge, attitudes, skills and understanding to successfully manage their personal development, future wellbeing and prosperity.
We can provide school and/or borough wide support for: policy development, curriculum review, cross curricular planning, resource lists, assessment guidance and staff training.
We can provide support and training for: delivering statutory RSHE, leading PSHE Education, a positive approach to safeguarding and PSHE and assessment in PSHE Education.
