Training Overview:
This interactive 2-hour online training explores how physical activity can be used as a practical and effective tool to support self-regulation in primary-aged children. Drawing on key principles of physical literacy and motor skill development, the session highlights the strong links between movement, brain development, learning, and emotional wellbeing.
Participants will develop an understanding of how purposeful physical activity can help children manage emotions, improve focus, and build readiness to learn. The training will introduce simple, inclusive strategies that can be embedded into the school day, including movement breaks, skill-based activities, and playful approaches that support both physical development and self-regulation.
Grounded in evidence-informed practice, the session provides practical ideas that are easy to apply in school settings and adaptable for a range of needs, helping staff create supportive, active learning environments that benefit all pupils.
