Overview:
Violence against Women and Girls, including domestic abuse and coercive control, negatively impacts the health of our communities. However, it is not inevitable and can be prevented through collective action. Educational settings, together with other local partners, play a crucial role in this. With the support available through the Domestic Abuse Prevention in Schools Programme, schools have an opportunity to embed a whole-school approach to domestic abuse prevention,
This practical one-to-one session will help with both identifying gaps in your existing provision and creating an action plan to imbed best practice regarding domestic abuse and healthy relationships. It will facilitate a discussion around the needs of staff, pupils and their parents and how best to support them. During this session we will answer your questions, share our expertise, tools and resources designed to support educational settings in tackling domestic abuse preventatively, using a whole-school approach.
