Bi-Borough PSHE and Wellbeing for Schools

Supporting and encouraging schools to develop and deepen their focus on health and wellbeing to support the attainment, achievement and happiness of their pupils, staff and wider school communities.

Healthy Schools Partnership: PSHE and Wellbeing

The work that we have been doing through the Healthy Schools Partnership highlighted a need for additional support for schools regarding their PSHE and Wellbeing provision. At present Health Education Partnership can provide all schools across the two boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster with free support up until July 2019.

For an individual school this support can include:
• Reviewing or planning a PSHE and Wellbeing Curriculum
• Signposting to resources for particular areas (e.g. RSE, Drug and Alcohol Education)
• Guidance around Policy development
• Preparing for statutory relationships (primary) and relationships and sex education (secondary)
• Providing training for staff

Schools can also access support via:
• Our PSHE and Wellbeing Framework (link opposite column)
• Our PSHE Coordinators network meetings (Primary and Secondary) held twice a term
• A local CPD Programme

Advice and support is available to all schools engaging with the Healthy Schools Partnership. Becky Casey from Health Education Partnership is responsible for coordinating the support across the two boroughs.

Becky can advise schools about free practical guidance and training opportunities available from local organisations and from specialist advisers within Health Education Partnership regarding PSHE education and emotional health and wellbeing.
