Exploring the Impact of Universal Interventions to Improve Help Seeking in Young People
Universal help-seeking interventions in schools to support young people’s mental health have been widely used, but we know little about their initial impact and longer term follow-up. A new systematic literature review, carried out by researchers at the Evidence Based Practice Unit and collaborators, aims explore the impact of these types of programmes across different help-seeking constructs. While the researchers found some evidence of impact in relation to interpersonal attitudes towards help seeking for up to six months post-intervention, on the whole findings around other constructs for help seeking were mixed.
