Training Overview:
This practical and inclusive training is designed to equip staff and volunteers working in Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to support, promote, and normalise breastfeeding in line with the WHO and UNICEF Baby-Friendly Initiative (BFI) standards.
Impact on your Knowledge, Skills and Confidence:
- Deliver consistent, evidence-based messages per World Health Organisation (WHO) and UNICEF guidance.
- Explain the differences between breast milk and first infant formula and describe their impact on infant and maternal health.
- Recognise the challenges families may face and confidently signpost to appropriate local services.
- Take practical steps to create and sustain breastfeeding-friendly environments in your setting.
Venue requirements
- Please note that as a church venue, alcohol is not allowed on the premises.
- Please note that the venue is a place of Christian worship, and they are unable to facilitate multi-faith prayers.
