Training Webinar Overview:

The Change4Life service is available in Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster to support children, young people and families most at risk of poor health outcomes to eat well and keep active.

This webinar aims to support staff working in early years, schools and community settings to deliver and oversee a range of risky play opportunities for young children aged 0-7. Participants will understand the importance of risky play in children’s lives and the types needed to build emotional resilience and physical competence.

Impact on knowledge, skills and confidence

  • The benefits of risky play for children’s physical development and wellbeing
  • The categories of play that have an element of risk
  • How to create environments that offer children opportunities for challenge and adventure.
  • The support children need to manage their risk within their play.
