The Change4Life service is available in Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster to support children, young people and families most at risk of poor health outcomes to eat well and keep active.
You can now book a 45 minute one-to-one physical activity advice appointment with our Early Years Physical Activity Lead. During this time, you can discuss issues specifically related to your setting:
- To understand the Chief Medical Officer’s guidelines for physical activity and how to translate them into everyday practice.
- To understand sensory and motor development required for children’s health, physical development and learning.
- How to create an enabling environment using the space effectively for active and challenging physical play.
- To upskill practitioners knowledge and understanding of activities children need to build physical competencies and their love of being active.
- How to support children to manage their risk and to build emotional resilience.
- To provide targeted support for children showing gaps in their physical development for practitioners and parent/carers.
- How to maximise the potential of natural and recycled resources to attract children to fun, purposeful physical play.
