Training Overview:
The Department for Education sets the standards for school food and is responsible for The Requirements for School Food Regulations 2014, which is set out in legislation. Food served in all maintained schools and academies in England must meet the School Food Standards so that children have a healthy, balanced diet.
This webinar aims to support staff in Barnet schools who are involved in the after school catering provision to ensure that the offering meets the School Food Standards, promotes best practice and provides value for money.

- Requirements from the school food standards:
- Other provision (used for breakfast and after school in practice)
- A compliant offer:
- Snack criteria options
- Light provision options
- Evening meal options
- Question and Answer session
