Training Overview:
The Healthy Early Years London (HEYL) Programme is an awards scheme funded by the Mayor of London Office which supports and recognises achievements in child health and wellbeing, development and education in early years settings. The Programme complements and enhances the statutory Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, adding to the focus on children, families and staff health and wellbeing.
The HEYL has 4 levels of awards: First Steps, Bronze, Silver and Gold. This training is designed to support those settings that are ready to start working on either their Silver or Gold awards, having already achieved their Bronze/Silver award respectively. It will focus on the initial stages of the Silver/Gold application and criteria associated with it. This training will help the settings to plan and create an action plan to improve a chosen area of health and wellbeing.
