Training Overview:
The Healthy Early Years London (HEYL) Programme is an awards scheme funded by the Mayor of London Office which supports and recognises achievements in child health and wellbeing, development and education in early years settings. The Programme complements and enhances the statutory Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, adding to the focus on children, families and staff health and wellbeing.
The HEYL has 4 levels of awards: First Steps, Bronze, Silver and Gold. This training is designed to support those settings that have already started their Silver/Gold projects; and the implementation of their Action Plans is close to the end. It will focus on the final stages of the Silver/Gold application and criteria associated with it. This training will help the settings to reflect on both the difference that their interventions had made and future sustainability.
Impact on your Knowledge, Skills and Confidence:
- Increased knowledge of endline data collection to evidence improvements in the chosen health area
- Improved skills in reflecting on activities that worked and that did not
- Improved ability to plan the sustainability of the project/intervention
