Training Overview:
The Healthy Early Years London (HEYL) Programme is an awards scheme funded by the Mayor of London Office which supports and recognises achievements in child health and wellbeing, development and education in early years settings. The Programme complements and enhances the statutory Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, adding to the focus on children, families and staff health and wellbeing.
The HEYL has 3 levels of awards: Bronze, Silver and Gold. This training is designed to support those settings that are ready to start working on their Silver award, having already achieved their Bronze award. The training will help the settings to plan and create an action plan to improve a chosen area of health and wellbeing.
Impact on your Knowledge, Skills and Confidence:
- Improved knowledge of support available through the HEYL lead and partners locally
- Identification of health and education priorities in the national and local context
- Improved skills in data collection to evidence the need for intervention in an EY setting
- Improved skills in planning targets, outcomes and actions to deliver the intervention
