Training Overview:

This session will explore the rapidly evolving landscape of online relationships and the ways in which artificial intelligence is beginning to shape young people’s digital lives. Participants will consider how friendships, romantic connections, and interactions with influencers/online celebrities are formed and maintained online and explore the opportunities and risks that come with them. The training will highlight challenges, such as online grooming, deepfakes, online misogyny, and the influence of AI-driven algorithms and chatbots on young people’s behaviour and wellbeing.

The session will provide practical strategies for PSHE delivery in schools. Linking to the latest DfE RSHE guidance, teachers will review up-to-date resources and share ideas for classroom activities that promote critical thinking and resilience. The training will also consider the wider role of school culture, pupil voice, and partnerships with families in supporting safe, respectful, and healthy online interactions.
