The School Food Toolkit: Enabling pupils to adopt a healthier diet

Audience / For: Staff working within Primary and Secondary schools in Richmond and Wandsworth, and Kingston.

Time:  3:30pm to 5:30pm

Format: Interactive online training via Zoom

Cost: FREE

  • Note: If you have several colleagues wishing to attend a separate booking will need to be made for each person.

Training Overview:

This training session aims to support schools to meet the statutory School Food Standards across the whole day. It will support staff involved in menu planning, development, and auditing, including healthy schools’ leaders, teachers, and catering staff within schools.

Impact on your Knowledge, Skills and Confidence:

  • Become more familiar with the mandatory standards and rationale behind these
  • Understand how to take a whole school approach to food and drink provision
  • Increase confidence in meeting the food and drink standards through careful menu planning and tailored contract management
  • Increase awareness of valuable practical resources

Links to Healthy Schools London Bronze Award:

To achieve the Bronze award schools must evidence that they are meeting the statutory School Food Standards from the DfE.
