Training Overview:
The Department for Education sets the standards for school food and is responsible for The Requirements for School Food Regulations 2014, which is set out in legislation. Food served in all maintained schools and academies in England must meet the School Food Standards so that children and young people have a healthy, balanced diet.
Providing nutritious, healthy, balanced food across the whole school day contributes to student health and academic performance, a positive school food culture and school finances.
This webinar aims to support staff in Barnet secondary schools who are involved in the management of their school catering contracts / catering provision to ensure that the catering service meets the School Food Standards, promotes best practice and provides value for money.
